Ancient Future is slated to perform in Larkspur in their Guitar/Sitar Jugalbandi ensemble variation on March 31st, 8PM at the Larkspur Cafe Theatre, 500 Magnolia Ave, Larkspur, CA.
Anticipate Indian classical and fusion music featuring Matthew Montfort on scalloped fretboard and fretless guitars, Pandit Habib Khan on sitar, and Arshad Syed on tabla.
'Jugalbandi' is a classical North Indian musical diet, and Montfort spent three months in intensive study with vina master K.S. Subramanian to apply the South Indian note-bending techniques to his scalloped fretboard guitar: this concert is not to be missed!
